We are continuing to study through the book of Romans, which is the Apostle Paul’s letter the church in Rome.  We have laid the foundation of understanding that we all have fallen short of God’s glory and need redemption.  Jesus paid for our redemption and forgiveness and has made the way for us to have a real relationship with God!

Now we are learning what it looks like to live a new life as a follower of Christ.  Join us Sunday and experience God’s presence in your life as we worship and study the Bible together.

Sunday Mornings in July & August – 10:00am

WE TEACH THROUGH THE BIBLE:

Throughout the year we take a deep dive into specific books of the Bible on Sunday mornings and want you to make time during the week to do the same. Use this guide to help you each week in your own Bible reading and prayer times with God.

On this page you will find resources that will help you each week in you personal Bible reading and prayer times with God.

JULY-AUGUST 2023

As we continue our study in Romans, we want to spend time investing in the things that will help us walk closer to God and exercise our faith more. Would you make a commitment to do what Jesus did?

Luke 5:16 – But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.

If Jesus needed to spend that time with his Heavenly Father, we certainly need it too!  Take 10-20min each day with a journal, your Bible and a prayer list.  Put it on the calendar and make it a priority.

S.O.A.P. is a simple method for reading and applying God’s word to our lives.  It stands for Scripture, Observation, Application and Prayer and involves four simple steps:

  1. Scripture – Read a short Bible passage out loud and/or write it out. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you as you read and look for any specific words or phrases that stand out and write them down.
  2. Observation – What do you notice about the verses? What do you think the main message is? What verses, words or ideas jump out to you?
  3. Application – Ask God how he wants you to apply the verse to your own life.  What do you need to do today because of the passage?  How do you need to think differently?
  4. Prayer – Have a list of things you’re asking God to do for you or others.  Start by thanking God for things then move to requests.

You can choose your own scripture or reading plan or use the one provided for our Romans Series.
